INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

  1. The SPD should be connected in series between the protected device and the signal/power transmission channel.
  2. The input terminal (IN) of the SPD should connect to the signal/power transmission channel, and the output terminal (OUT) of the SPD should connect to the protected device.
  3. Connect earthing wire of the SPD to earthing bus-bar of the lightning protection system of the room or building.
No special duty needs to be carried out for maintenance. When problem arises and the SPD is suspected, check the system with SPD taken out of circuit. Should system recover, the SPD shall be regarded as a damaged unit and must be replaced immediately
